Terms and Conditions (AGB)

This English translation is provided for your convenience. The German version ("Allgemeine Geschäftsbedingungen") is the legally binding version; in case of discrepancies, the German text prevails.

1. Scope

These Terms and Conditions (hereinafter "Terms") govern the use of the RiskRanger platform (hereinafter "Platform"), which is operated by OptionsMastery GmbH (hereinafter "Provider").

By registering for and using the Platform, you agree to these Terms.

2. Contracting Party

3. Services

RiskRanger is a web-based platform for financial market analysis and trading tools. The Platform offers:

  • Access to real-time market data
  • Technical analysis tools
  • Economic calendar
  • Trading signals
  • Portfolio tracking

The specific scope of services depends on the subscription plan you choose (EdgeSeeker Trader, EdgeSeeker Pro). Each plan can be booked with monthly or annual billing (hereinafter "Monthly Subscription" and "Annual Subscription").

4. Registration and Conclusion of Contract

4.1 Registration

Use of the Platform requires registration. You must provide truthful information when registering.

4.2 Conclusion of Contract

The contract is concluded by:

  1. Your registration and selection of a subscription plan and billing interval (monthly or annual)
  2. Submission of your payment details
  3. Confirmation by the Provider via e-mail

5. Prices and Payment Terms

5.1 Prices

The current prices for the subscription plans are shown on the Platform under "Pricing". All prices include statutory value-added tax.

Each plan has a monthly price and an annual price. The annual price is discounted compared to twelve monthly payments; the applicable amount is shown to you before you book.

5.2 Payment Methods

Payment is processed through our payment service provider Stripe. The following payment methods are available:

  • Credit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express)
  • SEPA direct debit
  • Others, depending on availability

5.3 Billing

  • Monthly Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance.
  • Annual Subscriptions are billed annually in advance: the full annual price is due at the start of each twelve-month billing period.

The first charge is made after the free trial ends (if one is granted) – the first monthly payment for a Monthly Subscription, the full annual price for an Annual Subscription.

5.4 Partner Prices and Partner Benefits

The Provider may grant customers of certain partners (e.g. brokers or education providers) reduced prices or additional services. Such partner benefits are voluntary; there is no entitlement to them. They apply only for as long as the partnership exists and you meet the respective requirements (e.g. an active customer relationship with the partner). The Provider may withdraw a partner benefit at any time, in particular if the partnership ends or the requirements are no longer met. From the billing period following the withdrawal, the regular price of your subscription applies. Only one partner benefit can be active per account; the applicable conditions are shown to you on the Platform when you select a benefit.

6. Contract Term and Cancellation

6.1 Monthly Subscription

The Monthly Subscription is concluded for an indefinite period. The billing period is one month. You may cancel the Monthly Subscription at any time with effect from the end of the current billing period.

6.2 Annual Subscription

The Annual Subscription has a term of twelve months. The term begins with the first paid billing period – if there is a free trial, at the end of the trial.

If the Annual Subscription is not cancelled by the end of the term, it renews for a further twelve months each time; the annual price becomes due at the start of each billing period.

You may cancel the Annual Subscription at any time with effect from the end of the current twelve-month billing period. Access remains available until the end of the paid period; the annual price is not refunded on a pro-rata basis.

6.3 Changing the Billing Interval or Plan

  • From Monthly to Annual Subscription: via the customer portal, provided it offers the change for your subscription (it is not available with certain discounts and special conditions). The change takes effect immediately; the twelve-month term begins with the change and the annual price becomes due. We credit the unused portion of the monthly payment you have already made.
  • From Annual to Monthly Subscription: with effect from the end of the current annual billing period.
  • Change to a higher plan (upgrade): takes effect immediately. We charge the price difference pro rata for the remaining billing period.
  • Change to a lower plan (downgrade): with effect from the end of the current billing period. If the change is technically executed earlier, we credit you the unused portion of the fee already paid.

6.4 Form of Cancellation

You can cancel via your customer portal (Customer Portal) at Stripe. You may also send us your cancellation in text form (e.g. by e-mail to info@edgeseeker.io).

6.5 Termination for Cause

The right to terminate the contract for good cause remains unaffected.

7. Free Trial

7.1 Trial Period

New customers can try the Platform free of charge for a limited period (usually 14 days). The specific period is shown during registration. The trial applies equally to the Monthly and the Annual Subscription and is granted only once per customer.

7.2 Cancellation During the Trial

You may cancel at any time during the trial without incurring any costs. If you do not cancel, the subscription automatically continues as a paid subscription – with the first monthly payment for a Monthly Subscription, or with the full annual price for the then-beginning twelve-month term for an Annual Subscription.

If you change your plan or billing interval during the trial, the trial ends with the change; the price of the new subscription then becomes due immediately.

8. Rights of Use and Obligations

8.1 Right of Use

You receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Platform for the duration of your subscription.

8.2 Prohibited Use

The following is prohibited:

  • Sharing your login credentials with third parties
  • Automated extraction of data (scraping)
  • Reverse engineering of the Platform
  • Misuse of the Platform for illegal purposes
  • Distribution of malware

8.3 Suspension

In the event of a breach of these Terms, the Provider reserves the right to suspend your access temporarily or permanently.

9. Availability and Technical Requirements

9.1 Availability

The Provider strives for the highest possible availability of the Platform. However, 100% availability cannot be guaranteed.

9.2 Maintenance

Scheduled maintenance will be announced in advance where possible.

9.3 Technical Requirements

To use the Platform you need:

  • A current web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge)
  • A stable internet connection
  • JavaScript enabled

10. Data Protection

Personal data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which you accept separately.

11. Liability

11.1 Disclaimer for Content

The information, data and analyses provided on the Platform are for informational purposes only. They do not constitute investment advice.

11.2 Limitation of Liability

The Provider is liable only for damage caused by intent or gross negligence. Liability for slight negligence is excluded unless essential contractual obligations are breached.

11.3 Product Liability

Liability under the German Product Liability Act (Produkthaftungsgesetz) remains unaffected.

12. Changes to these Terms

The Provider reserves the right to change these Terms at any time. You will be notified of changes by e-mail at least 4 weeks before they take effect. If you do not object to the changes within 4 weeks, they are deemed accepted.

13. Final Provisions

13.1 Governing Law

The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods.

13.2 Place of Jurisdiction

The place of jurisdiction for all disputes arising from this contract is, to the extent legally permissible, the registered office of the Provider.

13.3 Severability

Should individual provisions of these Terms be invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions remains unaffected.
